This post is a chance to reconnect, explain the gap, and share how Maple & Clover has evolved as a wedding photography and wedding videography brand in Toronto and across Canada.
For several years, I managed two separate wedding brands: Maple & Clover, offering wedding photography and cinematography, and a dedicated wedding videography company called Solely Love. Running both businesses was creatively rewarding, but it also meant dividing focus. In 2024, I made the decision to close Solely Love and bring everything together under one brand — Maple & Clover.
By consolidating into a single studio, I’m now able to provide a more streamlined experience for couples looking for documentary-style wedding photography and cinematic wedding films. One brand, one creative direction, and a consistent approach from the initial consultation through to final delivery.
Film Production Background & Cinematic Storytelling
My approach to wedding photography and videography is deeply influenced by a long-standing career in film production. I studied filmmaking in New York City at the New York Film Academy, where I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling, composition, and narrative structure.
Since 2001, I’ve worked professionally in film production as an Assistant Director, with experience across Ireland, Europe, and the United States. Working on international film and television productions has shaped how I anticipate moments, manage timelines, and capture performances naturally — skills that are essential when documenting real wedding days as they unfold.
Relocating to Canada & Professional Industry Experience
In 2018, I migrated to Canada and began the next chapter of my career. Since then, I’ve been an active member of IATSE Local 873, working as a Grip Technician within the Canadian film and television industry. This ongoing work keeps my technical skills sharp and informs the high production standards I bring to every wedding film and photography collection.
