Maple & Clover is a Toronto-based wedding photography and videography studio, founded in 2018 by David Stokes — a filmmaker-turned-wedding-storyteller with roots at a family-owned castle hotel in Ireland.

Before moving to Toronto, I studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and spent over a decade working across Ireland, Europe, and the U.S. as a film and TV Assistant Director. I'm now a proud member of IATSE Local 873, working as a Grip Technician on major productions, including Amazon and Netflix shows — experience that sharpens the technical eye I bring to every wedding.
I've personally shot, edited, and delivered 400+ weddings, and I bring that same cinematic sense of light, movement, storytelling and pacing to every couple I work with across Ontario.
When I'm not shooting weddings, I'm usually out cycling or with my Hasselblad 500CM shooting street photography — it's part of what keeps my eye sharp and my style evolving.
