Uxbridge Elopement Photography: Amy & Justin's Winter Wedding at Veteran Memorial Park
Last November (2020), I was contacted by a couple looking to marry on December 19th at City Hall in downtown Toronto. With pandemic-era restrictions in place at the time, only a small number of guests — including their photographer — were permitted to attend. As the date approached, restrictions tightened further, and Amy & Justin's plans to marry at City Hall fell through entirely.
Rather than postpone, Amy & Justin were determined to still elope on December 19th. With help from their officiant, Krystal Bond, they found a new location just outside Uxbridge, Ontario: Veteran Memorial Park.
A Small, Meaningful Elopement
The elopement itself was short and sweet — plenty of tears, plenty of laughter, and a beautifully worded ceremony led by Krystal Bond, who helped bring the new location and plan together on short notice.
It was cold, and snow had fallen the day before, but Veteran Memorial Park turned out to be a perfect setting for elopement photography — a mix of natural foliage and open, scenic backdrops that photographed beautifully even in winter.

Amy & Justin were remarkably calm and natural in front of the camera, and everything about the day flowed effortlessly — genuinely one of the most enjoyable elopements I've had the pleasure of photographing and editing.
