A New Chapter for Maple & Clover | Wedding Photography & Videography in Toronto

If you’ve been following along here, you may have noticed a bit of a quiet period on the blog. The last post was back in May 2023, and since then, a lot has been happening behind the scenes. This post is a chance to reconnect, explain the gap, and share how Maple & Clover has evolved as a wedding photography and wedding videography brand in Toronto and across Canada.

For several years, I managed two separate wedding brands: Maple & Clover, offering wedding photography and cinematography, and a dedicated wedding videography company called Solely Love. Running both businesses was creatively rewarding, but it also meant dividing focus. In 2024, I made the decision to close Solely Love and bring everything together under one brand — Maple & Clover.

By consolidating into a single studio, I’m now able to provide a more streamlined experience for couples looking for documentary-style wedding photography and cinematic wedding films. One brand, one creative direction, and a consistent approach from the initial consultation through to final delivery.

Film Production Background & Cinematic Storytelling

My approach to wedding photography and videography is deeply influenced by a long-standing career in film production. I studied filmmaking in New York City at the New York Film Academy, where I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling, composition, and narrative structure.

Since 2001, I’ve worked professionally in film production as an Assistant Director, with experience across Ireland, Europe, and the United States. Working on international film and television productions has shaped how I anticipate moments, manage timelines, and capture performances naturally — skills that are essential when documenting real wedding days as they unfold.

Relocating to Canada & Professional Industry Experience

In 2018, I migrated to Canada and began the next chapter of my career. Since then, I’ve been an active member of IATSE Local 873, working as a Grip Technician within the Canadian film and television industry. This ongoing work keeps my technical skills sharp and informs the high production standards I bring to every wedding film and photography collection.

For couples searching for a Toronto wedding photographer and videographer with real film industry experience, this background means calm execution, technical reliability, and a strong storytelling focus — even under fast-moving or high-pressure conditions.

Recent Wedding Photography & Videography Work

While this blog has been quiet over the past couple of years, my workload has not. I’ve had the privilege of documenting a wide range of weddings — from intimate celebrations to full multi-day wedding events — and the recent work featured on this site represents some of my strongest and most refined storytelling to date.

These weddings showcase a documentary approach combined with cinematic pacing, natural colour, and honest emotion. Every film and gallery reflects years of experience in both the wedding industry and professional film production, brought together under the Maple & Clover name.

If you’re exploring recent Toronto wedding films or looking through wedding photography galleries to find a style that feels natural, timeless, and story-driven, I encourage you to take a look at the latest work featured throughout the site.

Looking Ahead

Maple & Clover today represents the culmination of over 20 years in visual storytelling, film production, and wedding documentation. By focusing on a single brand, I’m able to give each couple my full attention while continuing to create wedding photography and films that feel personal, cinematic, and true to the day.

Thank you for being here. If the work resonates with you and you’re planning a wedding in Toronto or elsewhere in Canada, I’d love to hear more about what you’re planning.
